EI was retained to design a major new entrance on the north side of the building, addressing student flow from the expanding campus and a large parking area. The department office area was relocated to the second floor of the addition, thereby adding to the scale and importance of this façade. The renovations also reorganized departmental occupancies and enhanced the aesthetics and building systems to equal its prominent location on campus. EI Associates and our consultants were awarded the Diamond Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania for this project.
