EI Associates has recently completed the design of a state-of the art athletic complex for the new Iron Peak Sports and Events Center in Hillsborough, NJ. The new sports and event center is an ultra-modern indoor/outdoor multi-sport, training, and event facility for the Hillsborough community and surrounding area. The complex  serves sports leagues, sports performance training, skill-building clinics/camps, and competition including tournament play and pay-to-play experiences. Additionally, the facility houses team building events, youth development activities, birthday parties, youth summer camps and serve individual’s personal fitness endeavors. The facility consists of two structures adjacent to each other. The first structure is a 100,850 sq.ft. ‘hard’ structure with a mezzanine core building, which includes the following amenities: 39,000 sq.ft. hard court play area; play climb area; redemption arcade; rock climbing gym; mezzanine viewing area; second floor event area; cafe and seating area; multi-purpose rooms; team rooms; conference room; restrooms; family entertainment center; and other support spaces. Adjacent to the ‘hard’ structure is the second structure, an 86,400 sq.ft. air-supported dome to house a large multi-purpose field. EI Associates provided detailed design covering architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering.
