EI Associates assisted Zimmer, a world leader in musculoskeletal implants, with the expansion of their Parsippany, NJ production operations.  For nearly a century Zimmer has been dedicated to restoring mobility, alleviating joint pain and improving the quality of life for people around the world through the design and manufacture of effective, creative joint replacement solutions for orthopedic surgeons.  Zimmer offers a comprehensive range of orthopedic products – knee, hip and shoulder replacement products, dental implants, trauma products, spine surgery products, foot and ankle systems, and hand and wrist surgery products.

Recently Zimmer and their primary equipment supplier recently developed a second-generation reactor that will  more than double the production rates.  To support Zimmer’s intent to increase production, EI engineered the installation of three Generation II (Gen II) reactors with the provision for up to three more in the future.  The project entailed converting an existing warehouse space to new production suites including building a room within the warehouse and upgrading, as required, all utilities and infrastructure. Independent of the installation of the Gen II reactors, Zimmer will install new CNC and EDM machines in the current machining area including the relocation of the current equipment to accommodate the additional machines.
