The New Jersey Bankers Association, headquartered in Princeton, NJ, and the New Jersey League of Community Bankers, headquartered in Cranford, NJ merged to form a stronger and more unified trade association. To accommodate the increase in staff, achieve optimum operating efficiencies and promote the professional image of the association EI Associates was retained to design the relocation along with a reorganization of space and a renovation of the first floor. An important objective of the program was to utilize the existing Board/Training Room and as many of the existing second floor offices as possible. Existing furniture systems and moveable furniture at the Princeton office were evaluated to determine its suitability for re-use and relocation. ADA and privacy issues were also addressed. The design included relocating staff currently occupying offices on the second floor of the two- story building to re-designed and renovated office spaces on the first floor. The second floor offices were then remodeled and upgraded in a phased program.
