The design of this high performance building incorporates materials and systems that require minimal energy usage. Designed to maintain sensitivity to the slope of the land, the building is a split level design, with all shared facilities on the entry level. Students are no more than half a flight away from common facilities. This project was awarded the 2006 Learning by Design Award for exceptional design. The intermediate school is for grades 4-6 and is a 141, 150 sq. ft. building.
